STRATEGY ONE: Know and be proud of your strengths. Expect instant gratification. Regard time as an unlimited gift that does not require your protection. Only study subjects that interest you. Let your screen time exceed your page time. Schedule your efforts as if you already - perhaps inherently - have extraordinary knowledge of subjects. Cut corners and do the minimal amount to get by. Assume that you can associate with people of questionable ethics or standards and yet remain unaffected. Say that you don’t underestimate your competitors, but in reality, do precisely that. Know your goals. Covet the status of being a victim. Keep score on what you’ve done for others. Turn setbacks into a perpetual grievance. Do only what is required.
STRATEGY TWO: Know and be proud of your strengths but recognize that when taken to an extreme they can turn into weaknesses. Prepare for a hard slog. Guard your time from schedule vampires. See how seemingly unrelated subjects can add to your area of interest. Avoid screen addiction and set aside time to read. Although you may be very knowledgeable about a subject, always have the willingness to learn more. Develop the patience to master certain subjects. Learn how you learn. Be friendly but avoid people who bring you down. Never underestimate your competitors; in fact, learn from them. Know the efforts needed to achieve your goals. No matter what, disdain victimhood. Don’t keep score on what you’ve done for others. Turn setbacks into a springboard. Do more than what is required.
